Chroma in the manga
Chroma is a pseudonym and alternate persona used by Major Motoko Kusanagi to disguise herself. The Major appears as Chroma in Human-Error Processor, Man/Machine Interface, and Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex.
In the manga, Chroma is one of the Major's many surrogate decoy bodies, which she is able to pilot remotely. In the anime, Chroma is her online avatar, seen at times when she has interactions with others across the net.
Chroma has coral pink hair, and dresses in an elegant purple gown with gold lace trim and an attached short white cape.
