Ghost in the Shell Wiki

Fully prosthetic is when someone's human body has been completely replaced by a cybernetic one. This includes the person having a Cyberbrain. Subjects who are known to be fully prosthetics are either called full-cyborgs, or fulls. The only trace of their natural birth is their consciousness, or in this case, Ghost. The idea of full prosthesis has been developed in the first two seasons of Stand Alone Complex, and has raised notable interesting concepts about the near-future and the present world. Many characters in the series are full-cyborgs, as they possess a key plot-device in their characterization. Links between idealism and materialism have also been presented, all to correlate with SAC's plot to "face the consequences of communication in an advanced society".

Characters who are fully prosthetic:

Motoko Kusanagi[]

The main character of the series.

Takeshi Kago[]

A minor antagonist who dons the body of an armored vehicle

Laughing Man (Aoi, possibly)[]

The main antagonist of SAC's first season. Unseen hacker and meme creator. Is mentioned many times through the series.

Hideo Kuze[]

A main antagonist and later supporting character in the second season of SAC. Former Peacekeeping soldier who rebels against the UN and the world leaders.

Philip Kukushkin[]

A Russian engineer who was almost assassinated by another fully prosthetic Russian.
