Gayle Yasuoka (安岡 ゲイル, Yasuoka Geiru) was the field commander of the Drug Enforcement Agency's Narcotics Suppression Squad charged with eliminating members of the Sunflower Society and retrieving the dossier on affluent receivers of the Murai Vaccine. His team's operations under the DEA bureau chief Nimi often led him to confrontations with Public Security Section 9, including during the aforementioned raid on the Sunflower Society and the assassination of Dr. Hisashi Imakurusu.
An antagonist appearing in the later episodes of the first season, Yasuoka is personally responsible for injuring Togusa during the Sunflower Society raid. He is eventually captured by The Major and the rest of her team during the Imakurusu assassination after his powered exoskeleton was disabled. He eventually cooperated with Section 9's investigation and exposed Nimi's involvement in the Murai Vaccine cover-up.
