Maven is a new recruit of Public Security Section 9 in Ghost in the Shell: First Assault - Stand Alone Complex Online. She is an expert on guerilla warfare and topography, stemming from her time in the jungles of South America during World War IV, where she served in Kodansu Corporation's R&D division. She first came to Daisuke Aramaki's attention during an operation in which she single-handedly held off an insurgent attack after her entire squad was killed. When Kodansu Corporation was shuttered and its assets appropriated by the Japanese government, Maven then found work with the police in Fukuoka. In 2030, she was recruited by Section 9, where she has proven both resourceful and deadly. However, her troubled past is never far away. She has vowed to destroy the rebel group that ravaged her country and killed her family.[1]
